One of Basin Harbor’s enduring traditions is that gentlemen over the age of 12 are required to wear a coat and requested to wear a tie after 6 p.m. throughout the Main Dining Room during July and August. In the spring and fall, a jacket and collared shirt are required for the Main Dining Room. Women should dress accordingly. During the rest of the day, casual attire is appropriate for the resort.
Basin Harbor Resort’s 700+ acres on Lake Champlain are part of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, dedicated to preserving natural resources and enhancing wildlife habitat. More information is available at the Audubon Society Website. Visit our Nature Center to learn more.
Our 3000 ft. grass airstrip dates back to 1936. It was drained and reconstructed in 1950 with help from the Civil Air Patrol as part of the Cold War effort. We do not have Avgas or tiedowns. The closest fuel is at the Middlebury, VT Airport. Please check with the switchboard at 802-475-2311 for current strip conditions.
