Established in 1927 on converted farmland, the Basin Harbor Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course, making it a popular Vermont golf resort. Players are treated to stunning scenery and glimpses of local wildlife. Basin Harbor offers guests lakeside golf on the first course in the state to become a sanctioned Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Golf Course. The program is dedicated to preserving natural resources and enhancing wildlife habitats. Winding through the gently rolling hills of Champlain Valley, the course follows natural woods and open areas. At more than 6,500 yards, the expansive and demanding course features small and medium contoured greens, 48 bunkers, and bent-grass turf. The short front nine (3,083 yards from the blue tees) present a variety of challenging shots. The longer back nine (3,484 yards) caters to the long ball hitter. The course and slope ratings are 71.6 and 126 from the blue tees. Two putting greens, a short game facility with two bunkers and an all grass tee driving range complement this Vermont golf resort.
Our PGA Staff offers lessons and clinics for players of all ages and levels of expertise. Golfers can also stock up at the on-site pro shop, with a complete selection of clothing, accessories and equipment. Remember, regulation clothing and soft spikes are required on the Basin Harbor Golf Course.
