We are proud to be a Vermont Pet Friendly Hotel.
Well-behaved pets are welcome in cottage accommodations only, for an additional charge per day, per pet. It is understood that owners are responsible for any damage their pets may cause. Dogs must be kept leashed at all times and away from the pool and waterfront areas. We expect that owners will "pick up" after their dogs.
Check-In: 4:00 p.m. Check Out: 11:00 a.m. Late Checkouts may result in additional charges.
There is a 9 percent Vermont State rooms and meals tax added to all room rates. A 18 percent service fee will be added to Full and Modified American Plan rates, and all beverage and food checks in lieu of gratuities for the dining and housekeeping staff. A 5 percent service fee will be added to Bed and Breakfast rates. Please note that service fees have not been arranged for the Bell Staff, Concierge, Recreation, Waterfront and Golf Staff.
One of Basin Harbor’s enduring traditions is that gentlemen over the age of 12 are required to wear a coat and tie after 6 p.m. throughout the Main Dining Room during July and August. In the spring and fall, a jacket and collared shirt are required for the Main Dining Room. Women should dress accordingly. During the rest of the day, casual attire is appropriate for the resort.
Basin Harbor Resort’s 700+ acres on Lake Champlain are part of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, dedicated to preserving natural resources and enhancing wildlife habitat. More information is available at the Audubon Society Website. Visit our Nature Center to learn more.
Spa services are available through Waterfalls at Basin Harbor.
Spa rooms are located in the Lodge. A exciting variety of services are
available during the season including services for teens and little girl parties. Visit their webpage to see the entire menu.
Basin Harbor Airstrip
Our 3000 ft. grass airstrip dates back to 1936. It was drained and reconstructed in 1950 with help from the Civil Air Patrol as part of the Cold War effort. We do not have Avgas or tiedowns. The closest fuel is at the Middlebury, VT Airport. Please check with the switchboard at 802-475-2311 for current strip conditions.
