Autumn Traditions: Maple Shortbread Cookies
Every afternoon in the fall, we serve our memorable Maple Shortbread Cookies in the Champlain Lounge. Here is the recipe so that you can make them all year long!
8 oz. Butter, Unsalted
3 oz. Maple Sugar
1 ¾ oz Sugar
1 tsp. Maple Syrup
10 ½ oz. All Purpose Flour
Cream butter, sugars and syrup until light and fluffy. Mix in flour until just incorporated. Chill dough, roll to ¼ inch thick. Cut into desired shape and bake at °350 (10-12 minutes) until golden brown.
2 C. Confectioners Sugar
¼ C. Maple Syrup
Combine until smooth, adding more sugar or syrup to obtain desired consistency.
