Golf Tip of The Week
The amount of pressure you use to grip your club, and the way that you distribute said pressure, can make your shot a success or a failure. On a scale of 1 –10, with 1 being the lightest and 10 being the heaviest, the ideal amount of pressure to apply to your grip as a whole is a 4. Now comes the tricky part–how to distribute the pressure among each of the fingers of each hand. On your top hand the pressure should be applied with the last three fingers. Your pinkie finger should have 50% of the pressure applied with your top hand, your ring finger should have 30% of the pressure, and your middle finger should have 20%. For your bottom hand, half the pressure should be applied by your middle finger and the other half should be applied by your ring finger.
