Hotel Near Vermont Brewers Festival at Killington

If you’re a craft-beer fan like us, you’re going to want to make tracks to Killington this March for another sure-to-be-fabulous Vermont Brewers Festival!

The Green Mountain State is a national hotbed for craft beer, and the Vermont Brewers Association has been holding this celebration of it for a quarter-century. This year’s action takes place at Killington Resort: the perfect setting for a wintertime soiree around the firepits toasting great beers alongside the brewers who whip them up!

The 2018 Vermont Brewers Festival: More Than 100 Beers From 30 Green Mountain State Brewers

The 2018 Vermont Brewers Festival takes place on Saturday, March 24th from noon to 7 PM. Tastings go down in two different sessions: the first from noon to 3 PM, the second from 4 to 7 PM. Sample sizes come in the 3-, 6-, and 9-oz. departments: perfect increments for exploring the wide world of Green Mountain beer on offer.

We’re talking more than 100 beers, including 30 exclusively created for the Brewers Festival. This is a shindig put on by the brewers themselves, and you’ll be rubbing shoulders with some 30 different ones from all around the state. Among the participants will be Beer Naked Brewery, Frost Beer Works, Von Trapp Brewing, Harpoon Brewery, Big Spruce Brewing, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Farmham Ale & Lager, and Prohibition Pig, just to give you an enticing sample.

Vermont Brewers Festival Eats

And you can’t throw a proper beer festival without great grub to accompany the brews, so an arsenal of Vermont eateries will have food trucks on hand for the proceedings: Bluebird Barbecue, Worthy Burger, Wicked Twisted Gourmet Pretzels, and others.

Proceeds from the affair go to support the non-profit Vermont Brewers Association, which has been spreading the good word about homegrown craft beer since 1995.

You can get your tickets for either of the Vermont Brewers Festival tasting sessions right here.

Don’t Forget About Basin Harbor’s Beer-Appreciation Possibilities!

So consider cozying up around the K1 Lodge firepits this March 24th and tasting firsthand (first tongue?) the diversity, quality, and character of our statewide beer scene at the 2018 Vermont Brewers Festival. And set your sights to our 2018 season here at Basin Harbor, where you can quaff some fine local brews amid Lake Champlain beauty at Ardelia’s, the Red Mill, and the North Dock, our on-site dining establishments!

Here’s a big hearty cheers to our hardworking and relentlessly creative Green Mountain State beermakers!
