Want to have a break from the kids while you relax on your own? Then our Kid’s Camp is perfect. Available from late June through Labor Day, our fun-filled camp for kids consist of morning camp, afternoon family activities and evening dinner events. At Kid’s Camp, we offer traditional camp crafts alongside special nature and Vermont-themed projects. To ensure your kids aren’t bouncing off the walls when you get them back to your room, we also keep them active with sports including property wide capture the flag, soccer, knockerball, GaGa pit, tennis, golf and more!

Don’t forget hiking and fishing! We love the outdoors, and want to instill a love of nature in our campers. We have fun with our fishing events and special “jigging” cruises, and on hiking trips, kids commune with nature while also learning survival skills and facts about local flora and fauna.

Our camp is not exclusively organized activities. We  try to give kids a taste of what life was like in the good old days, and facilitate a range of fun old school games like bingo night, scavenger hunts and water carnivals. To keep groups small, we divide kids by age, and we have Champs Camp (ages 3 to 5), Harbor Mates (ages 6 to 8), and Explorers (ages 9 to 12).

We understand that teens often don’t want to hang with their younger brothers and sisters (or their parents), and we’ve got the perfect solution — a dedicated teen program full of age appropriate, super fun, supervised activities. We tailor these programs to meet the desires of the teens who are involved, so they are constantly changing. On site, our options for teens include kayaking to the Barn Rock, biking to Vergennes, challenging others to Wii tournaments on rainy days, lake cruises on the Escape, mastering the low ropes course, and of course, biking, boating and swimming.

For teens who prefer a bit of sophistication, we can arrange teen-focused treatments at the Blue Chair Day Spa, dinner in the Main Dining Room, dance parties and mocktail hours. Alternatively, teens can just hang out casually as a group, enjoying the views and socializing. We can also arrange field trips, and local options include laser tag, the Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory and baseball games.

Beyond Kid’s Camp, our concierge has a list of vetted babysitters who are eager to give you a break. Babysitters are also ideal for kids who prefer not to go to camp sessions. Finally, for locals, Camp BHC is a one week full-day camp. Offered twice a summer, this camp offers local kids the great services and experiences we provide to our tourists. This year, Camp BHC Session One starts on June 20, and Session Two starts on June 27.
