The Ladies Behind The Lens
A Snapshot of Basin Harbor’s Social Media Mavens
We are often asked “who does your social media?”. We hope it’s because you are captivated by our stunning photography on Instagram or our charming anecdotes and stories on Facebook.. Who would have thought 10 years ago that Social Media would be a real job! So, we thought it might be nice to introduce you to our team:
Jen Wyman (right) is our Director of Resort Marketing. She started here in 1992 as the Red Mill Manager and didn’t want to leave! Jen loves Instagram, likes Facebook, and as for Twitter…well, happy that Sadie takes care of that! She loves capturing moments through her lens whether they be beautiful plates coming out of the Main Dining Room, happy families around a BHC campfire or candids of her two kids! After nearly 25 years at Basin Harbor, Jen knows the ins-and-outs of our beautiful resort; she lives and breaths BHC, making her a wonderful leader of #teambhc.
Sadie Stone (left) is our Communications Manager. Sadie is most involved with the daily social media and special event planning at Basin Harbor. Her captions are making her famous on social media and she hopes will put a smile on your face (#punnierthebetter). She captures the most poignant moments no matter where she is, and uses Social Media as a multimedia platform for storytelling. She loves goats and is a very talented singer/songwriter. Sadie worked in the dining room during college, in conference services for her internship and then found her niche with social media as it became a more than a part-time aspect of our business.
Together they strive to convey the magic that is Basin Harbor. The pair also create the daily programming throughout the season, coordinate entertainment and have fun planning Basin Harbor’s annual events like Roktoberfest, The 12 Days of Cookies, Festival of Fidos and American Girls Teas. These give them so much great content for our social media outlets as well as the rich history of the Beach Family and the area and the sheer beauty of Lake Champlain.
We really enjoy keeping in touch with our guests and finding new friends as we post, like and tweet about this beautiful place we are lucky to see every day. Let’s keep in touch!
