What a fun night we had at Sunday’s Bingo Extravaganza! Kicking off the evening with a Regular Bingo win, Bilodeau from St. Bruno stole away with the first prize, followed by a tie for Picture Frame between Charlotte Bothe of Norwich, VT and John Stockey from Las Vegas, NV. Isabel Sibble from Boston, MA double-dosed on her wins, dominating both X Marks the Spot and Postage Stamp. Meanwhile, High Stakes Bingo went to New Brunswick, NJ’s infamous Coulthard. Our Loser’s Bingo winner, Ethan Dewbrey, will be taking home an extra pocket of change to Darien, CT. The final Blackout round resulted in a tie-game between Dana Smith of Plainfield, IN and Lianne Coulthard from New Brunswick, NJ, who split the final pot of $108. Congratulations, winners! Also, a big thank you goes out to the Marks Family for a fun game of Family Bingo!
Congratulations to our talented 8 year old fisherman, Brendan Coulthard, who will be able to bring his bragging rights home to New Brunswick, NJ for having caught the only two fish during yesterday’s fishing tournament. Well done!
Get ready for quite a show! Tomorrow night will be the debut of the very first Basin Harbor Staff Variety Show in fifty years! Should you find yourself parched in the mid-afternoon heat, the Harbor Store and Burgee Bar are not the only places to pick up a refreshing beverage! Head to the Fairway Café next to the Golf Shop to grab a sandwich, a bag of chips, or a cold one after a round of golf, or between swims at the pool. Come check up on the latest golf scores at this open-air café and restore yourself in the shade!
July is berry season! We all know that berries are delicious, but have you ever tried to paint with them? Join Abbey for Painting with Nature, where you will get to try the ancient art of egg tempera using natural pigments that can be found in your back yard, garden, or your kitchen. Tempera was the most common medium for painting in the art world until the advent of oil painting in the 1500s. Step into the past for an hour today and learn how to make your own paints and create a canvas masterpiece to bring home. Sign up with the concierge, as space is limited.
BHC presents the Grand Opening of Basin Harbor’s own Blue Chair Day Spa! Be sure to book your manicures, pedicures, and choose from a whole menu of unbelievable massage options from our massage therapists Kate and Patti. See the concierge to set up your treatments, with openings still available for today!
Ann-Marie will be capturing candid images at various events throughout the day and this evening at the Harbor Fair. Please feel free to say hello and let her know if you have any requests.
