From Westford, MA we are joined by Paul Cully and Anne Kisil. Welcome back! Ralph Sheridan and Ann Steer are visiting from Weston, MA with the company of Quinn. How lovely to see you all again! We hope you have a wonderful stay this year at BHC.
Congratulations to our lovely couple Jen Kurtz and Daniel Sferra, who will be wed today with a reception to follow. Our staff wishes you the happiest of futures!
Basin Harbor also welcomes the Wedding guests of Caroline Stewart Foster and Sean Robert McKibben, here to celebrate the union of these two love birds. Caroline is originally from Charlotte, VT and now resides in Denver, CO where Sean and his family are from. We are so delighted to host this special occasion, with family and friends from near and far!
Way to go, Triathletes! We had a grand turn-out for this week’s Basin Harbor Triathlon, with over 40 sporty Basin Harborites on hand. Our winning team yesterday was “Team Stimpatcher,” consisting of Alex Stimpson, Teddie Vatcher, and Annie Vatcher with a time of 18:01. Max Bicknell stole the honors for winning youth, with a time of 18:45, while Ted Stimpson rang in 19:03 for winning male. Special honors go to Chris Martin and his boys Simon and Harper, and to Ed Flynn for anchoring the swim for “Team So-Fly”. Nicely done!
Join Captain Brian this morning at 9am aboard the EScape on a special fishing trip to Haystack! Lots of opportunities abound to catch some great little swimmers in this special spot where the fish love to hang out.
A Photography Ordering Session will be held in the Club Room from 12-2 pm. All candid images from this week will be on sale; 25% off! So, whether you are ordering from candids, our family portraiture specials or a private session, stop by and meet with Ann-Marie, to view samples, ask questions and place your orders.
If the weather is keeping you cooped up inside, we have some fantastic activities on the roster for your rainy day entertainment. The Club Room is the place to be today, with a rousing round of Wii Olympics starting at 10am followed by a Trivia Tournament from 2pm to 3pm. Bring your teams and your thinking caps, as prizes will be awarded! If it’s still a bit wet out there after that, grab a cup of tea or a hot chocolate and stick around for an afternoon matinee. Remember, board games are always available to check out from the front desk!
If you have a special talent, come show it off! Join Rec Staff for Talent Show Practice in the Playhouse this afternoon at 3pm, and show us what you’ve got! The Talent Show itself will kick off tonight at 9pm in the Club Room.
For your late night entertainment, head to the Red Mill this eve for a round of fun by Basin Harbor’s favorite party starter, DJ “Good Times” Charlie! DJ Charlie will get you on that dance floor, like he does every time, with his classic set of old and new hits. You’ll forget all about the rain!
