 Week 39
Saturday, September 30th – Thursday, October 5th

Local Weather (Subject to Change!)
Temperatures are finally starting to cool down, and we’re getting a bit of a chill in the evenings. We have some clouds hanging around this weekend with highs in the low 60s, but as the sun comes out at the beginning of the week temperatures will start to climb up into the 70s. The wind will pick up a bit mid-week, bringing back some clouds by Thursday. We’ll still have highs in the mid-70s and dry skies though, perfect for your outdoor activities.

Resort News
Fall is in the air! The leaves are starting to turn, the days are crisp, and the pumpkins are out! Celebrate the season with complimentary apple cider and our signature maple shortbread cookies in the Champlain Lounge from 3:00 – 5:00 PM this weekend. Enjoy a freshly-picked Honeycrisp apple from our apple bin in the lobby, or visit a local orchard to pick your own! Try Shelburne Orchards just south of Burlington, or Boyer’s Orchard in nearby Monkton (and don’t miss their cinnamon sugar cider donuts)!

We have daily Narrated Lake Cruises aboard The EScape this weekend! Join Captain Marty at 10:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday for a guided tour of Lake Champlain’s history & nature highlights. Boat over to the Palisades and take in the majesty of the Adirondacks and the gradients of the trees, bright against the blue skies and shimmering water. You can also venture out onto the lake on your own with a kayak or canoe! Rentals are available at the Waterfront. Prefer to stay on land? You can rent a bike at the Waterfront too, and explore the trails winding throughout property.

Looking to get out on our 18-hole championship golf course? Visit The Golf Club to schedule tee times, sign up for our clinics, rent a cart for your stay or to set up some time for a personal lesson!

Brush up on your local history with a tour of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum! They will be open all week from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Stop by to check out shipwrecks in the Nautical Archeology Center or step aboard a 1776 gunboat replica, Philadelphia II!

Feel like venturing off property? There is plenty to do beyond the basin too! Vergennes is our own “Little City” and only 10 minutes away. There is great food and quaint shops right on the Main Street. Middlebury is only 25 minutes away to the south, and boasts a beautiful “downtown” with shopping, history, and art, all within ear (and eye) shot of the breathtaking falls! Stop into the Drop-In Brewery or Lincoln Peak Vineyard for some delicious tastings; if you’re adventurous enough, tackle the entire Middlebury Tasting Trail! Or head north and make a quick stop at Dakin Farms for more delectable Vermont products. Take a little jaunt up to Burlington to check out the museums, shops, and breweries in our “Queen City.” Our local legends also host factory tours regularly, so don’t miss out on Lake Champlain Chocolates Factory, Ben & Jerry’s Factory, or the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory! See the Concierge for directions and information, or flip over the Breeze for an abbreviated brewery tour itinerary.
