Although the property is very walkable (and bike-able!) we have a limited inventory of resort golf carts that can be rented during your stay. Carts are available in book in advance through the concierge or Front Desk. Cart rentals are managed by ‘per night’ meaning you reserve the cart from mid-afternoon until time of check out the following day. Contact concierge@basinharbor.com to book.
Basin Harbor’s special location and extensive facilities make The Golf Club an ideal spot to host a special event, from a small family gathering to a large fundraiser or team-building excursion. Our staff can help guide you through the entire event-planning process, including registration, on-course set up, player assistance, prizes and awards, and food and beverage.
People have been playing golf at Basin Harbor for more than a century. What originally began in 1916 as a few holes laid out by second-generation host, A.P. Beach, the course eventually grew to nine holes in 1927 when Scottish pro Alex ‘Nipper’ Campbell laid out the links. The course grew to a full 18 holes in 1955, which roughly mirrored the course you’ll play today. The final evolution of The Golf Club came in 1980, as world-renowned course architect Geoffrey Cornish was hired to renovate and modernize the course.
