It’s more than our incredible lakeside location that makes a wedding at Basin Harbor special. We love to create special experiences that the wedding party and all your guests can enjoy and remember forever. Here’s a selection of some of our favorites wedding activities. Looking to relax at the end of the day? Stay warm and come hang out around a campfire or bonfire. Campfires burn for two hours and are great for roasting s’mores. Bonfires provide 20-foot flames and are great for keeping your whole group warm and entertained.
Who doesn’t like fireworks over the lake? Cap off your special night with a spectacular fireworks show. You can keep them a surprise or make it something everyone can look forward to at the end of the night. Class C shows are done over the harbor, and Class B (or Class C) shows are done at the airstrip by The Red Mill.
One of the many things that makes Basin Harbor unique among Vermont wedding venues is our ability to include airplane fly-in options in your wedding celebration. The resort has its own airfield where you could land your private plane and we’ve also had wedding celebrations that have incorporated a seaplane fly-in on Lake Champlain.
Enjoy a calming, instructed painting class where you and your guests can create a piece of art to remind you of your time at Basin Harbor. You can also add drinks to turn the event into a Paint & Sip.
Loosen up with one of our private yoga classes down by the lake or in our Treehouse Movement Studio. Pricing includes instructor, site rental fee, and 20 yoga mats. The location must be flexible depending on weather conditions and group size.
Take a scenic cruise of Lake Champlain aboard the EScape, our 40-foot boat which accommodates up to 48 guests. The EScape is equipped with a fully functional bar, which may be added to your cruise for an additional cost. Looking for a new dining experience? Join us for lunch or dinner out on the lake. We are happy to help you create a menu that suits your group. If you’re looking to relax at the end of the day, join us for a sunset or moonlight cruise.
Leave your wedding ceremony in style aboard one of our vintage ChrisCraft wooden boats. These elegant vessels will take you and your photographers on a short cruise around Lake Champlain. You can zip past the North Dock and see all of your guests as they arrive for cocktails. You can also opt to add a second watercraft for a photographer.
